VariationTen rounds cold at 5 yards through a malfunction and a reload, moving each time.
Setup
Meant to be shot cold. A target with an 8-inch chest circle and a 4-inch head circle, at 5 yards. 7 live rounds in the gun: 1 chambered, and a magazine of 6 live and 1 dummy with the dummy third, fourth, or fifth. One reload of at least 3 rounds in a hip pouch. From the holster, concealed. 10 live rounds in all.

Side-step, draw, and fire into the chest circle until the malfunction.

Side-step and clear the malfunction, then keep firing at the chest circle until the gun runs empty.

Fire 2 to the chest and 1 to the head.

Scoring
Pass or fail. Clean, with no procedural error, within the time: any round outside a ring fails it, and so does not moving on the draw, on the malfunction, or on the reload. 15 seconds for regular earth people, 12 for proficient shooters, 9 for instructors.
