3M Test (older version)
Marksmanship, movement, and manipulations at 5 yards: a malfunction, a reload, and a head shot.
Setup
A silhouette target at 5 yards. 6 live rounds in the gun: 1 chambered, and a magazine of 5 live and 1 dummy with the dummy somewhere other than top or bottom. One reload of at least 4 rounds in a hip pouch. From the holster, hands in the interview position. 10 live rounds in all.

Side-step, draw, and fire until the malfunction.

Side-step, clear the malfunction, and keep firing until the gun runs empty.

Side-step and do an emergency reload.

Fire 3 to the body and 1 to the head.

Scoring
Move on the draw, on the malfunction, and on the reload. Pass or fail: 15 seconds for a student, 12 for an instructor, and any hit outside the highest zone, a failure to move, or a slide racked without tapping the magazine fails it. Or score it Comstock: 50 possible, points over time times 20, 10 down a miss, with 100 the par, over 100 very good, and over 125 very high skill.
